“how much are your lessons”

Do you cover South Molton/Braunton/Ilfracombe”

We only cover the Bideford, Barnstaple and Great Torrington areas. Anyone outside these areas, who want to learn with us, is asked to meet in one theses areas. 

“Do you have any availability for lessons”

Currently we are fully booked, so we have no availability for a couple of months. We have created a waiting list for learners. We are happy to add you to this list and will contact you when we have availability. We are also recruiting additional instructors to join us and open up more spaces in our diary. Follow our Facebook page for updates.

“I have a driving test booked, can you take me”


We won’t take anyone to test who’s driving we haven’t seen. We just don’t know your level of driving standard and won’t risk taking any learner to a driving test. 

“I need to cancel/reschedule today’s lesson”

When you cancel or reschedule a lesson at short notice, it can mean we don’t get paid for the lost time. All lessons are booked in advance, sometimes weeks in advance. This means we have allocated this slot to you. If the lesson is cancelled at short notice, we may not have time to fill that gap. So we don’t get paid for those missed hours. Therefore we have a cancellation charge. If the lesson is cancelled within 48 hours, we will charge the full lesson rate. Failure to pay this charge could mean losing your regular slot. 

“Can I be dropped off/picked up somewhere else please”

Our days are planned for weeks in advance, based on everyone’s pick up/drop off locations. If a learners requests a different pick up/drop off location., this can mean another learners lesson will be affected.  So any request for different locations will be taken into consideration and could mean lessons being finished early to allow travelling time to our next learner. The lesson will be charged at the full rate. 

“Can I have a free/trial lesson please”

In short, no! All lessons will be Charged at the full rate

“Can I have a 1 hour lesson please”

All lessons are 2 hours long. We have found that this helps with the learning process and therefore improved learning outcomes

“Do you offer block booking payments”

Yes we do offer block booking payments. By purchasing a block booking payment, you save money on your lessons. All block booking payments must be used within a 6 months. If there is any unspent hours remaining after 6 months, then these will be lost.

“Can I use my own car for lessons”

This is a service that we don’t offer. This is due to insurance purposes. Our insurance company will not cover tuition in any car that doesn’t have dual controls fitted. Also most private policies don’t cover cars for business use. As driving lessons are consider to be use in accordance with a business, your car wouldn’t be covered for any lesson

“If you/I am late for lessons”

We plan our diaries, so that we can always arrive on time for your lesson. However there could be occasions when we may be running late. We will try and inform you of any delays we have experienced. We will endeavour to ensure that we we make up any lost time. 

If you are late for your lesson, we will contact you to remind you. If we have no contact from you within 10 minutes, we will leave the arranged pick up point and we will charge  you for the missed lesson. If you do start your lesson late, it will finish at the arranged time. As this will have a effect on the rest of our day. 

“Can I have a refund on my block booking.”

Yes you can have a refund. Any hours used will be charged at the normal hourly rate. There is also a £10 admin fee. Any remaining sum will be refunded to back you.
